When You Feel You Have Nothing Left

when you have nothing left by Amyra Mah

Almost everyone has had moments in their lives when they feel as if they have run out of resources, solutions, answers.  This may be paired with symptoms of anxiety, depression, addictive behaviours or self-beating patterns.  The bottom line is, you feel stuck, trapped in a place where you don’t want to be, and you can’t see a way out.  In this state, it is easy to conclude that you have nothing left.

It is an illusion that you have exhausted everything you have.  It is simply a state you find yourself in, and it is just one perspective.  Depending on the angle of your perception, that can be true or that can be untrue.  With a slight shift in perspective, you can shift into a whole different reality where suddenly you can see and access so much more. ...keep reading

The Power Of Wordless Communication

the power of wordless communication by Amyra Mah

Have you ever wanted to shoot off that email right away, or to speak to someone face-to-face urgently, gripped by impatience?  We seem to think that if we don’t do it right away, we would be disadvantaged in some way.  We think our words, written or spoken, have so much power that we must assert this power right away.  We may be so accustomed to using words that we can’t see the value of not using words.

Suppose I ask you to communicate or take action without using words.  How would you handle it?  What are some of the non-word ways of communicating?  If you’re like most people, you’d probably have to think about it before answering. ...keep reading

Is Compassion For Others Overrated?

is compassion overrated by Amyra Mah

In spiritual circles, it is common for people to state that we should “come from compassion”.  Whilst compassion is a high vibrational state, actually few really know how to practise it.  The way that many people purport to practise it actually takes them a few notches down in the spiritual evolutionary ladder.

If we’re talking about true compassion, yes, coming from compassion is the way to go.  But most people misuse it, to the detriment of their own wellbeing.

There comes a point in our spiritual growth when whenever we see someone behaving badly, our first inclination may be to say, “Oh, but we must have compassion.”  As a result, we may tolerate bad behaviours when others treat us badly or are abusive towards us. ...keep reading

How To Get Unstuck NOW By Tapping Into Your Spiritual Truth

Spiritual Truth

During meditation a few days ago, I had a vision that left a profound impression on me.  I saw a small, pitiful creature lying on its side on the ground.  It looked a bit like a newborn puppy – hairless, pale, eyes barely opened, and as though it was born deformed such that it struggled to even stand up on its legs.  But what struck me wasn’t its physical helplessness.  I could see through into the creature’s inner world of mental anguish.  It was trapped in a state of suffering, capable only of repeating a series of debilitating thoughts that reflected its limited field of perception.  The thoughts were about how restricted its world was, how it could never seem to get out of this nightmare into which it was cruelly born, and how helpless it was. ...keep reading

Mindset Shifts to Transform Your Life

Here are three simple mindset shifts you can implement right away to promote powerful changes in your life and give you more inner peace.

MINDSET SHIFT #1:  Stop Figuring Out Why

I used to be obsessed with working out why things happened.  I couldn’t leave anything not figured out, explained, analysed and neatly assigned to a mental compartment.  I would obsess about finding the answer to why someone did, didn’t do, said, or didn’t say, something.  What was their motive, agenda, frame of mind?  With the precision of a scientist, I would trace back events, leaving no stone unturned, until I had gathered all the ‘facts’ I needed to come up with the perfect answer. ...keep reading

Healing The Deep Insecurity That Creates Loneliness

Healing Insecurity and Loneliness

A friend recently asked me if I ever felt lonely. I thought about it, and realised that it had been a long time since I remembered feeling lonely. This realisation was huge for me. For most of my life I had suffered from a deep sense of loneliness. It’s the kind of loneliness that did not go away just because I had company, but one that stayed perpetually in the background of my psyche like some quietly-growing disease.

Afterwards, I reflected on when my loneliness had left me. It was definitely a very gradual shift over many years of self-healing. But it was really since channeling and practising The Art of Dissolving Unwanted Reality that I have been totally liberated from a deep insecurity which had been the source of my loneliness and other mental-emotional afflictions. ...keep reading

Learn to stop self-punishment with Amyra Mah

Are you in one of those periods where everything just seems to fall apart?  Where the whole world seems to be against you?  Where anything that can go wrong, is going wrong in one way or another?

I have good news for you:  Contrary to how it may seem and how it’s making you feel, you are in an immensely powerful place.  If you know how powerful this is, you can take advantage of the gifts it contains.  But if you see it as unfortunate and a series of bad luck – that you’re in a bad phase of your life – then you are not only prolonging your hardship, you may never gain the potential benefits it can yield. ...keep reading

What to do when nothing is showing up

Are you in one of those phases when you’ve been waiting for some changes but nothing seems to be happening?  As far as you know, you’ve done all the right things, according to what you know about the laws of manifestation.  You feel you’ve done everything that you’ve been taught – you’ve trusted, surrendered, taken inspired actions, etc. – yet nothing is showing up.

You’ve even tried doing nothing.  You’ve tried sitting in the void, but the void can be a bitch when all you get is pain or emptiness.  What else is there to do? ...keep reading

Why Getting Started Before You Can Afford To Can Bring In The Magic - Amyra Mah
Here’s a scenario I often see:

You have a creative project that you’ve been ‘sitting on’.  The project may be writing a book, creating a business out of a cool idea, travelling to a place that particularly draws you, going back to school to study something you love, or learning a creative art form.  You love the idea of the lifestyle you imagine you’re able to have once you have embarked on this project.  But you think you need to achieve certain financial goals before you can afford to do it.  Years go by while you tell yourself that you need to wait until you have more money, saved enough money, win the lottery… and instead of moving closer to actualisation, the project increasingly becomes a mere fantasy. ...keep reading

Tony Robbins Is Wrong: Why Taking Action Is NOT The Most Powerful Way To Shape Your Life

Taking Action with Amyra Mah - Unusual Wisdom

“The most powerful way to shape our lives is to get ourselves to take action,” says self-help guru Anthony Robbins.

I like Tony and admire his work; as far as motivational teachers go, few can stoke my inner fire for motivation, and get me going and taking actions quite like him.  But whilst I appreciate the power of taking actions to move towards what we want in life, I disagree that it is the most powerful way to shape our lives.

There’s a whole lot more involved that needs to be taken into consideration than just making yourself take actions.  Yes, taking action is important but his statement requires some caveats. ...keep reading
